Despite the snow and icy temperatures, the Capital of Culture year 2010 started with an extraordinary inaugural event, to the great enjoyment of all involved: Under the motto of "Change through culture – culture through change“ the Ruhr Area presented itself with a pulsating and fascinating cultural offering in the grounds of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen. One of the official suppliers of the large-scale event was TA Triumph-Adler West GmbH. Dortmund, 11 January 2010 – While the visitors tuned their attention to the wide-ranging artistic insights and outlooks offered by the programme of the RUHR.2010, the organisers and representatives of the press worked frenziedly behind the scenes.
