New large-scale contract for TA Triumph-Adler Corporate Consulting:

The Order of Malta cuts its document business costs by 30 per cent

The healthcare sector is facing intense cost pressure. While the new coalition has already drafted a host of new bills for reform in the healthcare sector, saving money currently remains the number one priority. Many now fear that patient care will suffer as a result of these cost-cutting measures. The Order of Malta Group has shown that there is another way – by modernising its nationwide document management, the organisation is set to reduce its monthly costs in this area by around 30 per cent. This major project was undertaken by TA Triumph-Adler Corporate Consulting GmbH (TA-CCO), the Bonn-based specialist for efficiency in the document business.

Bonn, February 9, 2010 – The Order of Malta is present in over 700 locations throughout Germany and is involved in the provision of geriatric care facilities, hospitals and hospice work, civil protection and disaster control, emergency medical services, outpatient nursing and support, youth work and health promotion. This is an extremely broad field with extensive requirements in relation to the documentation of all patient data and poses a major challenge for the entire office communication structure. To implement the planned optimisations, the Order turned to TA-CCO, led by Managing Director Frank Eismann, a partner with extensive knowledge of the healthcare sector: “Our expertise from over 2,000 analyses conducted nationwide over the last eight years was a major influencing factor. The customised and qualified solution that we developed for the Order of Malta helped to give us the edge over leading competitors,” explains Eismann.

As a subsidiary of TA Triumph-Adler AG, which is based in Nuremberg, TA-CCO is responsible for the KAM (Key Account Management) business of the group throughout Germany.
The key account experts specialise in providing support for key accounts having more than 300 employees, to whom they offer professional and comprehensive solutions for efficient document management. The Order of Malta project involved one of the company’s biggest ever operator contracts in the KAM sector. The document specialists delivered and integrated approx. 6,000 fully equipped systems ranging from IT peripherals right up to entire output systems such as multifunctional devices, fax systems and printers. Eismann and his team will be responsible for supporting 12,000 different functions across Germany: “This framework agreement will be implemented in the context of a four-year strategic partnership that covers everything from the smallest Order of Malta service unit through to retirement homes and right up to all Order of Malta hospitals”, says Eismann, clearly pleased with this co-operation.

The project is based on an impressive overall concept, with which the company currently supports over 600 project customers in the healthcare sector, including large clinics such as the Stiftungsklinikum Bamberg, the Saarland University Hospital and the University Hospital in Frankfurt.
