Outsourcing in medium-sized companies

Europe's leading car wash manufacturer saves up to 40% in maintenance costs with TA Triumph-Adler

Outsourcing certain IT services is a key to success. Especially medium-sized companies are continuously searching for new solutions to improve the efficiency of workflows and to save costs. Up to 20 percent savings are possible through the outsourcing of document output. Otto Christ AG in Memmingen, one of the leading manufacturers of car washes in Europe, no longer has any concerns in this area. In future, TA Triumph-Adler Bayern GmbH, the specialist in the document business, will handle the entire output management of Otto Christ AG at its Memmingen headquarters.

Nuremberg, 29 June 2010. Otto Christ AG, based in Memmingen, has been one of the leading manufacturers of car washes in Europe since 1963. Innovations and efficient solutions characterise the successful company from the Allgäu. The product range extends from the classic car wash and water recovery systems through to a complete range of accessories, such as vacuum cleaners and magnetic card readers, as well as car washing and car care products. In order to retain the overview of this wide range of products, a reliable document management system is necessary. However, over the years, printing, fax and copying systems in a wide variety of performance classes have been accumulated, partly through leasing and partly through purchasing. In order to improve the efficiency of the printing infrastructure and to reduce costs and administrative expenditure, the car wash specialist has contracted TA Triumph-Adler Bayern GmbH to handle their entire output management.

With the aid of the consulting and anlysis concept, TOM (Total Output Management), a new concept for an efficient document workflow was developed. For this purpose, the specialists at TA Triumph-Adler paid particular attention to the individual requirements of Otto Christ AG. The customer placed great importance on the highest degree of flexibility and transparency of the workflows as well as optimal print quality. In future, a standardised system landscape will replace the heterogeneous infrastructure. The Accounting Box, which enables full cost control at all times, rounds off the total solution from the specialists. "We will save 30 to 40 percent of our maintenance costs through standardisation of the entire printing infrastructure alone", says Bernd Muetzelfeldt, Manager of the IT department at Otto Christ AG. "We anticipate further significant savings potential through the transparency of our printers. In this way, our requirement for toner will be regulated automatically in future."

One of the main priorities for the Otto Christ Group, which employs over 1,100 people throughout Europe, is a comprehensive and extremely flexible customer service: "The "James" service concept stands for quality: we have contractually stipulated that, in the event of failure, devices will be repaired within a maximum of four hours or replaced within one day", explains Roman Zebe, Project Manager at TA Triumph-Adler Bayern GmbH. The cooperation wth TA Triumph-Adler is, quite simply, a significant benefit to Otto Christ AG.
