Brief profile:
Child daycare facility for children, with 130 places for children aged between 0 and 14 years.


Philosophy and main focus:

Children have a great innate interest in the natural world. They ask lots of questions and try to understand their environment. An early education in science, mathematics and technology picks up on the children’s interests and enhances their personal relationship with the environment, while promoting the development of a positive self-image. The project group establishes relations to everyday family life and involves the parents in the teaching activities.

How the foundation’s funds are utilised

"The team at the Family Centre St. Leonhard seeks to promote and develop the area of scientific and mathematical education. The main focus is on helping children understand their environment by questioning, observation, research, experiment and exploration."
