TA Triumph-Adler solution for medium-sized companies ensures immediate transparency in the IT department
Small box with big effect – on a surface area no larger than a sheet of A5 paper, TA Triumph-Adler AG has developed a web-based solution for the complete management of all printing and copying systems within a network. With this system, companies receive a tool which significantly simplifies a large number of processes. This saves both costs and time.
Nuremberg, 24 March 2010. Everyone knows the problem: The printer has run out of paper, the toner cartridge is empty, the counters on the copier still have to be read-off manually. A small back box from the Nuremberg-based document specialists provides a comprehensive solution. In addition to complete solutions for the printing, copying, faxing, scanning and archiving of documents, TA Triumph-Adler offers a simple, inexpensive system which automatically measures and displays all the relevant processes for the customer. Accounting4Work, a unique solution for printing cost management from TA Triumph-Adler, demonstrates that transparency can be achieved comparatively simply with regard to IT costs and office processes.
“Our products can be used wherever companies need to comprehensively monitor and effectively control their printing activities,” explains Pablo Major, Head of Development at TA Triumph-Adler AG in Nuremberg. The Accounting4Work product series, which has been developed in-house, comprises a hardware and a software component, which together enable cross-network monitoring of all printing and copying systems, regardless of manufacturer. Toner levels, for example, are monitored continuously and the toner can optionally be re-ordered automatically when specified threshold values are reached. “And if there's a paper jam, the responsible administrator is the first to know about it!” says Pablo Major.
“The hardware box is installed in less than half an hour, without interfering in the local IT structure,” adds Pablo Major. The administers can control and manage the hardware with just a few clicks of the mouse when the need arises. The device has a power consumption of only 5 watts. In the case of small and medium-sized companies, as well as large corporations, any output system can be monitored with the Accounting Box, regardless of the manufacturer. The Accounting Box thus becomes the central control element within a comprehensive monitoring cockpit.
Within an extremely short period, more than 1,300 boxes have been installed at customer premises. This high level of demand demonstrates that the need for solutions of this type is high among medium-sized companies. “Our aim was to allow our highly-qualified IT experts to concentrate on their core competencies,” explains Ümit Varol, Head of IT at the Deutsche Jugendherbergswerk Service GmbH (German youth-hostel service) in Detmold. TA Triumph-Adler quickly emerged as the ideal candidate for this project. “We were looking for a service provider with a nationwide presence, just like the youth hostels, which can also offer comprehensive and flexible solutions. TA Triumph-Adler supplied us with this product, which provides us with even more economic transparency,” says Varol.
“The main focus for us is our customers’ requirements and their efficiency,” explains Robert Feldmeier, Spokesman of the TA Triumph-Adler AG Management Board. “Consequently, we invested in the development of this solution in order to supply a product which meets the “Made in Germany” standard of quality.”
