TA Triumph-Adler increases efficiency in the motor trade

The Braunschweiger DÜRKOP Group relies on new document management

Many car dealerships do not give any consideration to the issue of document management. This is a mistake, as printouts, copies and faxes often cost considerable sums of money despite having a professional equipment landscape. In the face of intense cost pressure, the motor trade needs to focus on its core competences – sales and service. One way of doing this is through co-operation with strong partners. TA Triumph-Adler, the document business specialist, offers comprehensive document management solutions and has recently restructured the entire output management of the DÜRKOP Group.

Nuremberg, June 16, 2010 – With 18 dealerships across central and eastern Germany, the DÜRKOP Group is one of the leading trade groups in automotive sales and service. The Rüsselsheim company was voted one of Germany’s top 50 Opel dealers in 2009 and 2010. With this success come extensive requirements in relation to all processes in the individual dealerships, posing a major challenge for the entire office communication structure. In order to meet this challenge, the DÜRKOP Group has chosen TA Triumph-Adler West GmbH as a professional partner.

“Our system landscape was not standardised,” recalls Stefan N. Quary, Spokesman of the Management Board of the DÜRKOP Group. Each dealership had its own printing, copying, fax and scanner solutions and the corresponding materials came from different manufacturers. Additional costs were also incurred as a result of the many different maintenance and service agreements with all of these suppliers. However, it wasn’t just external costs that had an impact on the company budget. Employees also spent a considerable amount of time supplying the systems with consumables and would initially try to rectify faults themselves.

This is where TA Triumph-Adler came in. Using the company’s own consulting and analysis concept TOM (Total Output Management), the document business specialists analysed all branches of the DÜRKOP Group and devised a customised infrastructure. TA Triumph-Adler delivered and integrated 350 fully equipped user-optimised and service-optimised systems in all branches. Special Accounting Boxes developed by TA Triumph-Adler now monitor the current status of toner and other consumables for all manufacturers and all systems without intervention in the network. “The company now has a much simpler document management structure,” says Harald Jakubek, Director of Sales at TA Triumph-Adler West, who is responsible for the project. “We ensure that the printing infrastructure is always up-to-date, supply the consumables, apply consistent quality standards and are contactable at all times should faults occur.” TA Triumph-Adler can guarantee a response time of 4 hours and a recovery time of 24 hours in the event of problems or faults.

“A strong partner who is customer-oriented and can deliver a complete professional service from a single source is the way forward for the motor trade,”, explains Robert Feldmeier, Spokesman of the Management Board of TA Triumph-Adler. “This will enable the industry to invest more time in service and sales and make considerable cost savings thanks to optimised processes.”
