TA Triumph-Adler successful with cooperative bank

Rüsselsheim Volksbank eG makes savings with new output management

Even if cooperative banks were not affected as badly by the financial crisis as private banks, they are subject to increasing competitive pressure. Efficient structures, customer-friendly service and a reliable IT base are the fundamentals for successful market domination. The path to this goal is via high-performance solutions and cooperation with external partners. The Volksbank eG in Rüsselsheim has entered into partnership with TA Triumph-Adler Baden-Württemberg GmbH, the specialist in the document business. Since March 2010, they are responsible for the output management of the cooperative bank.

Nuremberg, 14 July 2010. The banking business is becoming increasingly challenging. The availability of data and documents must be quick and uncomplicated. At the same time, there is an enormous documentation requirement. So it is no surprise that about a third of IT costs are now associated with output management. With this development and the resulting requirements, the Rüsselsheim Volksbank eG saw the necessity of re-evaluating its printing concept. In this respect, support came from outside. Since March 2010, TA Triumph-Adler Baden-Württemberg GmbH has been responsible for their document management.
Firstly, using the company’s own consulting and analysis concept TOM (Total Output Management), the experts from TA Triumph-Adler analysed the entire output infrastructure. The challenge: The new standardised system landscape had to be compatible with the agreeBAP® banking system from Fiducia. The result was an individual concept that ensured smooth and inexpensive workflow in document management. "Replacing the systems was not the only challenge", explains Thorsten Brammann, Project Manager at TA Triumph-Adler Baden-Württemberg. "The entire PC equipment had to be converted from Windows XP to Windows Vista." For this purpose, help was provided by Frank Grimm, who has supported cooperative banks in the field of IT since 1988. 150 PCs in 10 subsidiaries were simultaneously converted and 50 printer and multi-function systems were newly eqipped.

"We are now exactly where we wanted to be", says Klaus Weber, Manager of the Rüsselsheim Volksbank. "The solutions developed by TA Triumph-Adler meet our high requirements regarding flexibility and availability."An important criterium is the central cost control: Today, print volume and material consumption can be monitored for each device and, if necessary, timely intervention is possible. A so-called Accounting Box provides an overview of all devices in the bank and in the external branches. "The new infrastructure has become much easier to operate", explains Anja Goedecke, IT administrator at the Rüsselsheim Volksbank. "We now use only four different types of toner. That makes handling more efficient." In the case of a fault, TA Triumph-Adler guarantees the prompt handling of all technical queries with no red tape and a round-the-clock service.

"A complete service from a single source offering excellent value for money – it’s quite outstanding", says Robert Feldmeier, Spokesman of the TA Triumph-Adler AG Management Board. "As relaible partner, we ensure high availability of the systems and thus make the costs for our customers calculable."
