10.09.2009: TA Triumph-Adler business report receives the most prestigous red dot design award

For the second year in a row, TA Triumph-Adler AG has won over the experts of the red dot design award jury. After winning this highly coveted award last year, the Nuremberg-based document business specialists have gone one better this year, with its current business report being selected by the jury in the ‘red dot: best of the best’ category for outstanding design quality.

Nuremberg, September 10, 2009 – The red dot design awards are one of the most prestigious design competitions worldwide. Each year, an international jury of experts awards this seal of quality for ambitious and innovative design. A large number of entries are submitted for evaluation by the jury each year. This year was no exception, with more than 6,000 submissions from 42 countries in the running. Only 56 of these submissions received the ‘best of the best’ award.

The TA Triumph-Adler AG business report impressed the jury with its simple layout and the fact that it was unbound and printed on recycled paper. The clean, unembellished design of the business report, which is particularly evident in the typographic elements and puristic visual concept, is the company’s response to the current economic crisis: “The layout shows how in these difficult economic times, we are focussing on the essentials, concentrating on our core values and not wasting precious energy on distractions”, explains Karl Rainer Thiel, Head of Corporate Communication at TA Triumph-Adler AG. “The subject of the business report – ‘Transforming passion into action’ – is representative of our own personal standards as well as the understanding of our customers and is a central theme in both the layout and content of the report.”

Dr. Joachim Fleing, the project manager and person responsible for IR at TA Triumph-Adler, as well as Groothuis, Lohfert, Consorten, the Hamburg-based agency responsible for the concept and layout of the business report, are delighted with this success.
The special ‘best of the best’ award means that TA Triumph-Adler is also in the running for the ‘red dot: grand prix’ prize, the winner of which will be announced at an awards ceremony on December 9, 2009. All of the prize-winning entries are on display in an exhibition at the red dot design museum in Essen from December 10, 2009 to January 10, 2010.
