04.09.2008: With TA-CCO, key account customers can expect significant document management cost savings

What do Bundesliga football club Hertha BSC, publishing house Süddeutsche Verlag and German Association of Cities hospital buying group Einkaufsgemeinschaft Kommunaler Krankenhäuser eG (EKK eG) have in common? – All three are new customers of TA Triumph-Adler Corporate Consulting GmbH (TA-CCO). In future, these three new key accounts will benefit from the document-related services offered by the specialist for document business efficiency. With customised printing, copying, faxing, scanning and archiving solutions, TA-CCO guarantees its customers significant cost savings in the field of output management.

Bonn, September 4, 2008 – After Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Hertha BSC is now the second Bundesliga club to entrust its document management to the Bonn-based specialists reporting to Managing Director Frank Eismann. “The word is out among Bundesliga clubs that Bayer 04 Leverkusen has reduced its annual printing costs by some 20 per cent with our solution,” says Eismann regarding his new customer, for whom he expects to achieve similar savings. The implementation of a new printing solution was preceded by a comprehensive analysis of the existing system landscape at Hertha BSC. For this purpose, the TOM (Total Output Management) analysis and consulting concept developed by TA Triumph-Adler, was used. With the aid of this concept, an analysis of the existing office equipment was carried out and unnecessary cost sinks identified, free of charge. It was discovered that around 50 different device models from 17 different vendors were in use. Merely stocking up the many different consumables for the equipment already generated high costs. “A significant success factor for our customers is the standardisation of the hardware, which we carry out taking the existing IT infrastructure into account,” explains Eismann, who is responsible for the Germany-wide KAM (Key Account Management) business of the Nuremberg-based parent company TA Triumph-Adler AG. In order to optimise the complete cost structure at Hertha BSC, the document consultants devised a new solution based on the analysis results in order to ensure the best possible configuration of the individual systems for efficient document output.

Süddeutsche Verlag also handed over the organisation of its complete document management activities to the document business specialists from Bonn. For the TA-CCO employees, this project represented a very special challenge. Because Süddeutsche Verlag was moving into new premises, the new document management system had to be planned entirely on the basis of architectural blueprints. Whereas, normally, the individual systems can be tested and a concept for the optimum workflow elaborated on-site, this time the document consultants had to rely exclusively on seating plans for the various publishing house employees and overviews of the existing system landscape. Nevertheless, they were soon able to present their time and cost optimisation concept for the publisher’s document business. These two projects were recently rolled out, with a total of 1,355 systems implemented on-site.

The next large-scale project for Eismann and his team will be an audit at EKK eG, the German Association of Cities hospital buying group. The associated contract was recently signed by EKK. The buying group was founded by four municipal hospitals in 1988 and today includes over forty affiliated hospitals. EKK’s objective is to achieve greater cost savings and efficiency with regard to purchasing services.
