27.08.2009: TA Triumph-Adler is committed to high-quality training

The trainees of today are the economic resources of tomorrow – and this is valid not only for the entire economy, but also for individual companies. However, despite the economic crisis and challenges in market development, this is not the only reason for document specialists TA Triumph-Adler to be committed to a comprehensive trainee programme. Social responsibility is a top priority at the well-established Nuremberg-based company. At present, 150 trainees are being prepared for professional life by TA Triumph-Adler – this amounts to one trainee for every ten employees of the IT service provider. Many young employees complete their training with top marks or even with distinction.

Nuremberg, August 27, 2009: up to the end of July alone, 16 new trainees began their professional lives with the market leader in the document business. Employees are trained to be office clerks, information electronics technicians with the main focus on office systems technology, information technologists and application developers, system integrators, warehouse logistics specialists, IT system electronics technicians as well as business people for the wholesale and retail trade. The trainees from all professional disciplines spend time in all of the business units at TA Triumph-Adler. During the three years of training, the programme comprises all aspects of the Group’s business field and the professional goal aspired to. As with all IHK (Chamber of Commerce) supported training schemes, practical training in the company is complemented by tuition in basic theory at a vocational college.

“This has a clear advantage for the trainees. They acquire detailed knowledge of the company, our business and the customers with all the requirements and processes”, explains Robert Feldmeier, Spokesman of the Management Board of TA Triumph-Adler AG. Training at the Nuremberg-based company with its practice-orientation is primarily characterised by the fact that the trainees quickly learn to cope with all systems and processes. For example, they are expected to take on tasks in the field independently, as soon as possible. “Those who bear responsibility at an early stage, learn faster, approach their tasks with greater motivation, receive a deeper insight into the structures and achieve qualifications more quickly”, says Feldmeier explaining the approach. “Ultimately, our objective is to take on as many trainees as possible following completion of their training.”

This concept is successful. TA Triumph-Adler not only regularly takes on the majority of its trainees, but many of the young people also achieve exceptionally good results in their final examinations. For example, in the Frankfurt subsidiary of TA Document-Solutions GmbH, Christoph Radtke completed his examination as best in the trade. He now has the opportunity to participate in a trade competition. His fellow trainee, Patrick Acker, also completed his training as information electronics technician as Hessen’s best trainee in the technology field with a very good grade and advanced completion of training. And at TA Triumph-Adler GmbH Chemnitz Gera Jena Zwickau, Eva Tittmann excelled in her oral final examination as office clerk with EU certification. In Erfurt, Sebastian Dülfer, Florian Roth and Steve Wießner were excellent sales and technical trainees with corresponding qualifications during the last training year. All three attracted positive attention, including that of end customers, on account of their great independence and high quality.

“As a traditional company, TA Triumph-Adler has, for over 100 years, prepared young people for their professional life. We will, of course, continue this tradition”, says Feldmeier. “We are delighted to have motivated young people who approach challenging and demanding tasks with fun and enthusiasm. Personal commitment plays a decisive role in assuring our long-term company success. In our field of business, we have very high expectations. Concepts for process optimisation and the management of documents in paper and electronic form, business analyses, outstanding performance in technical service, customer service, in administration and our financing company demand a high degree of flexibility and self-motivation. Those who can hold their own here are ultimately among the best in the market. Completion of training is therefore not the end of the learning process. At TA Triumph-Adler, learning is a lifelong process. Because only those who are constantly familiar with and can cope with new customer requirements and the market, remain at the top. The best employees are therefore those that are continuously trained, promoted and taken on by the company long-term.”
