16.09.2008: Document business specialists win the red dot communication design award 2008

TA Triumph-Adler AG has received the red dot design award in the communication design category – a first for the Nuremberg-based company. The awards are one of the biggest and most prestigious design competitions worldwide. For more than 50 years, this coveted seal of quality has been awarded for innovative and ambitious design. The prize went to TA Triumph-Adler for the current Group company report.

Nuremberg, September 16, 2008 – Just under 6,000 works from 39 countries were entered in this year's competition. The winners in the 12 categories were chosen by a jury of 14 international design experts. This is the sixth award in the last nine months for the document business specialists: “Receiving the red dot award 2008 for our communication design is a major achievement for the brand”, explains Karl Rainer Thiel, Head of Corporate Communication at TA Triumph-Adler. “It underscores our determination as an innovator and market leader to embrace change in all areas of the business and to strive to be better and bolder. The award-winning company report is the flagship of our corporate communications, the result of the development of our Corporate Design and therefore also a benchmark for all other Group communications”, continues Thiel. The jury was particularly impressed by the high design quality of the typography and layout of the company report of the Nuremberg-based corporation. The layout incorporated elements such as colour, imagery, infographics and the quality of the materials and finishing. The report design and layout was created by Groothuis, Lohfert, Consorten in Hamburg.

The representatives of the company received the prize at an awards ceremony held in the function hall of Casino Zollverein in Essen on December 3, 2008. All of the prize-winning works are on display at the red dot design museum in Essen until January 11, 2009.
