04.03.2008: Consistent path to growth:
TA Triumph-Adler takes over Lich group of companies and founds TA Hessen-Thüringen GmbH
Following the takeover of CKV Neukötter GmbH a few weeks ago, TA Triumph-Adler AG has already sealed its second acquisition in quick succession. On March 1, the document business specialists took over the business operations of the specialist dealer for office communication, BVF Lich GmbH, based in Rabenau. This marks the latest step in the successful growth strategy pursued by the Nuremberg company.
Nuremberg, March 4, 2008 – This acquisition means that TA Triumph-Adler AG has sealed the gap between the sales territories of its subsidiary companies TA Triumph-Adler Frankfurt, TA Triumph-Adler Westfalen, TA Triumph-Adler Norddeutschland and TA Triumph-Adler Thüringen. The company now has a presence spanning the entire Upper and Middle Hesse region. The document business specialists won out over the competition to take over the family company, which was plagued with financial difficulties, on the strength of its impressive concept for continuing the operation of BVF Lich GmbH and to ensure its profitability was quickly restored. This enabled TA Triumph-Adler to triumph against a series of redoubtable competitors on the market. In contrast to the other key players interested in the takeover, TA Triumph-Adler offered the security of a medium-sized, customer-orientated German company: “We want to incorporate the company into our structure and use the many synergies on offer to our mutual advantage,” emphasises Robert Feldmeier, Spokesman of the Management Board of TA Triumph-Adler AG.
The customers of BVF Lich GmbH and the maintenance of the 3,500 machines currently under contract and the 2,000 additional systems not under contract will be unaffected by the takeover, as a large percentage of the business is to be handled by a dedicated company within the TA Triumph-Adler Group. Michael Lich and Jörg Undeutsch from TA Triumph-Adler will take over the management of the company, and an ‘integration manager’ appointed from within TA Triumph-Adler will coordinate all internal support measures, ensure that the integration runs smoothly and that the respective company cultures are harmonised. The company’s offices will remain in Rabenau and Marburg. The focus will remain regional and responsibility will stay at a local level. The standardised approach of the Nuremberg company to the document business sector represents a major growth potential for its new subsidiary. The dual concepts of ‘TOM’ (Total Output Management) for paper- and hardware-related issues and ‘DIDO’ (Digital Document Organisation) for digital issues (DMS) enable TA Triumph-Adler to act as a one-stop shop to provide customised solutions for the printing, copying, faxing, scanning and archiving of documents. The existing Lich customers will therefore not only benefit from the new solutions provided by the Group but will also be able to take advantage of the company’s comprehensive financing and service offerings. TA Triumph-Adler is in turn investing locally in new EDP systems, sales concepts and training initiatives and in incorporating Lich into its internal Group logistics, in order to be able to advise and assist their customers even more quickly and comprehensively in the future.
