Internet drugstore Doc Morris chooses TA Triumph-Adler Nuremberg, February 6, 2006 - TA Triumph-Adler AG continues to move steadily ahead with its drive for growth. The new foreign company TA Triumph-Adler Benelux B.V. will begin business operations in the first quarter of 2006. With head offices in Hengelo, the Netherlands, TA Triumph-Adler Benelux B.V. was founded as a wholly-owned subsidiary company of TA Triumph-Adler Rheinland GmbH as it strategically expanded its international direct sales operations. Previously, TA Triumph-Adler Rheinland GmbH had only conducted cross-border business in this region on a small scale. The new company is taking over these activities, and is starting with a raft of Mittelstand customers. The internet drugstore Doc Morris is currently the most prominent user of TA Triumph-Adler brand copiers and printers that TA Triumph-Adler Benelux B.V. will be looking after. The Group is expecting a positive contribution to earnings as early as the first fiscal year. Ten regional sales managers will be systematically handling the sales side of the business in the metropolitan centers, initially in the Netherlands, and then later in Belgium and Luxembourg as well. The services offered are based on the TA Triumph-Adler Group's Total Output Management concept. Using Total Output Management (T.O.M.), TA Triumph-Adler, the specialist in document business efficiency, offers customers a single source for their copier and printer configurations, enabling them to cut costs by more than ten percent in this area. TA Triumph-Adler is already enjoying huge success in Germany with this integrated consulting concept. The expansion into the Benelux countries forms part of the strategy of TA Triumph-Adler AG aimed at significantly increasing the foreign proportion of Group sales over the medium term. Frank Eismann, who is responsible at TA Triumph-Adler AG for the new Benelux operations, regards this step as providing additional opportunities for the company's further development: "After several hundred successful T.O.M. projects in Germany, we have also gathered some very good experience with our integrated consulting approach with customers and partners in the Netherlands over the past few months. We can now put this collaboration on a sound footing and continue to expand." TA Triumph-Adler Rheinland GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TA Triumph-Adler AG, and with sales of over 60 million euros is the largest service provider of this kind in Germany. With more than 24,000 copiers and printers currently under multi-year contracts, the company serves businesses of all sizes in the region between Bonn, Cologne, Dusseldorf and Aachen as customers and partners. In the first nine months of fiscal year 2005, the core business of TA Triumph-Adler AG, the specialist in document business efficiency, grew by eight percent over the previous year, achieving sales of € 248 million. With around 400 sales specialists and more than 500 service technicians, the company looks after in excess of 30,000 customers, with over 125,000 copiers and printers under contract. TA Triumph-Adler AG's market share of 10% makes it far and away the market leader in Germany. The company has continued its turnaround here according to plan, and is targeting a return to sustained operating profitability for fiscal year 2005. For fiscal year 2006 the company expects further growth and continued improvement in its market position as a result of the increase in market share it is targeting. It is also expecting to increase profitability well above the norm due to the measures it has already taken to streamline the internal organization and to boost efficiency. |
